Tom Gray opened the business in 1964, and in 1975, sold the business to his 25 year old son. The next year Mike Murrah joined Danny at Gray’s, and the two have run the business together ever since. shaping their store into one that strives to meet every need a customer might have.
“Regardless of any problem that anybody brings in here to us, it’s all taken care of in house, and we don’t have to ship anything out, so that always makes everybody feel better,” Mike said. “Our business is built on trust, and you know the fewer hands that touch something, the better you’re going to feel about it.” In addition to our large jewelry selection, we offer custom design, setting and repair work. Danny Gray is a certified master bench jeweler, and John Tuck, who has been with Gray’s for more than 40 years, handles in-house work and the care with which they handle every piece, Danny and Mike have worked hard so their customers will rely on them. “Regardless of what they’re letting us handle, whether it be and $8 chain or a $200,000.00 diamond, we take a lot of pride in what we do,” Mike explained.
